You know, I've had this pane open for a good 18 hours now, and can't think of anything to say.  I write a lot, raise kids a lot, have lots of animals (furry and scaly), and love tigers.  I was born in the month of September, hence:  Sapphire Tigress.

Mr. Sapphire ran a BBS (remember those?) years ago, so that's the handle I picked.  There was a stretch on AOL when they only had 8-character screen names, so I spent a stint as "saphtigr."  My husband was so proud when he showed me that screen name!  I knew, though...and it was confirmed.  I got all these wonderful IMs from female participants, and all of them thought I was female inclined because of the "saph."  I met so many nice ladies that never wanted to chat again because when they found out the "saph" was for "sapphire," they got embarrassed.  I shut off my IMs for a while, and when AOL let us have longer screen names, I extended it.  I still left my IMs off but to a select few.  I'm not that kind of girl.

My first child came along in 1991, and I finished having kids in 1996, after three kids in 4-1/2 years, rough pregnancies and/or deliveries all.  Having one's tubes tied at 24 is liberating; you know all you have to do is raise the ones you've got!  I've been a waitress, a nurse, and a medical transcriptionist, as well as moonlighting as an author, blogger, and web mistress.  The blog and site go together and are interlinked, one for regular posting and the other for my "specials."  I've not yet been published, but I do have a rejection letter, of which I am quite proud.  I'm writing a synopsis (aaarrrgghhhh!) for another book.  They want three chapters and a synopsis (scream!), so I'm interested to know what an e-mail rejection looks like.  Believe you me, when I get it, it will be posted.  Yeah, I'm a glass-half-empty person when it comes to writing, but everything else looks optimistic or opportunistic to me.

Everything is pretty evident by going through the site.  I love e-mail and I love comments, so please leave a few.  I don't do spam or forwards, and if you've got links to tigers, please send!

I leave you with my life's dream:  The Tiger Temple

Thanks for being here!
